2020 Toyota Tacoma New Features and Interior review. Midsize trucks have come and gone, and actually come back. But there’s one constant, and it’s this. The Toyota Tacoma.
For 2020, Toyota gave the Tacoma some slight updates to stay competitive against the Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado. Up front we have a new grill, some new LED headlights, and some new wheels.
And they all sort of change depending on trim level. What hasn’t changed is the engine choices. We’re partial to the V6 for its power and efficiency. The real changes, though, happen back here inside. We’ve knocked the Tacoma in the past because of its driving position.
It didn’t have a height-adjustable seat, which made it a little tough for taller drivers, but that’s all solved now. We have a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat. We’ve also knocked Toyota’s Entune infotainment system in the past, but they’ve added Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and some Amazon Alexa integration.
Also, somewhat related to technology, we have a multi-view monitor and surround-view monitor, and even a camera underneath the truck to see if you’re actually going to clear that rock that you’re about to crawl over. Even among mounting pressure from Ford and Chevy, the Toyota Tacoma remains one of our favorite mid-sized pickups.
